We were staying at the Paramour House and I was in the big ballroom where we had the practice kit set up and all the gear. I was just playing and I remember Gerard coming down in his pajama pants, and we were just hanging out, talking. He was just like, “I’ve got this vocal melody. Could you play something to it?” That’s how that song started out.
